Position Overview:
The Bookkeeper position supports FSA Advisory Group’s family of companies bringing a desire to efficiently compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers. The position requires an exceptional ability to multi-task, problem solve, and work effectively in a team environment.
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Use QuickBooks Online to record, store, and analyze information for multiple entities.
- Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
- Prepare bank deposits and sending cash, checks, or other forms of payment when necessary.
- Classify, record, and summarize financial data to keep financial records using QuickBooks Online.
- Receive, record, and deposit checks.
- Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures.
- Calculate and prepare checks for utilities, taxes, and other payments.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Compile financial reports pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.
- Reconcile and report discrepancies found in records.
- Reconcile records of bank transactions for multiple entities.
- Assist company accountant to complete tax returns for multiple entities.
- Monitor status of loans and accounts to ensure that payments are up to date.
- Other duties as assigned such as helping with general office duties, such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine office maintenance duties.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field.
- Experience processing accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Must be able to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to multi-task, possess a high level of attention to detail and maintain a high level of organization and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
