This position will be based in Riverside/Moreno Valley, CA. Full-time (Exempt).

Key Responsibilities of Position
- Provides supervision and administrative support to teaching staff and children. Provides ongoing communication with public and private agencies and support to families.
- Ensures that all duties and responsibilities of the Lead Teacher are met in the absence of any Lead Teacher.
- Responsible for scheduling staff in accordance with licensing requirements and site needs.
- Supervise, evaluate, counsel, and discipline all employees with regard to personal and professional conduct and performance.
- Responsible for meeting all licensing regulations, agency policies and procedures, and Title 5.
- Responsible for review and oversight for accuracy of records including but not limited to: enrollment, meal applications, bank deposits, attendance cards, Center Track (web-based enrollment management system), incident reports, staff supervision, meal counts, daily log records for infant and toddlers, curriculum, child observations/portfolios, and parent participation.
- Conducts monthly parent and staff meetings, and formalized in-service trainings according to staff development plan.
- Responsible for verification of the DRDP Tech accuracy and implementation.
- Provides a pleasant, safe, and clean environment for children and staff that are conducive for learning and job satisfaction/development for staff.
- Oversees the implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities for children according to Agency Standards and the Annual Self-Assessment.
- Using a team approach over-sees the implementation of individual goals and objectives that are set for each child through their IEP or developmental assessment.
- Meets the individual needs and interests of children in relation to their cultural, social, and economic background.
- Operate the program within the confines of the budget and make recommendations in conjunction with budget planning processes.
- Work as a member of the agency team by promoting the mission and philosophy of FSA.
- Acts as a resource for all FSA Site Supervisors/Directors
- Visits all FSA Child Development Centers on a regular rotational basis
- Provides site observation, mentoring, and problem-solving strategies as needed.
- Conduct In-Service trainings for all site supervisors/directors quarterly.
- Be available for a phone consultation with all site supervisors/directors.
Qualifications
Required
- B.A. in Early Childhood Education, Human Development or related field.
- At least 5 years of teaching experience.
- At least 3 years of supervision experience.
- Meet Title 5 and Title 22 requirements to qualify as a fully qualified site director including 3 units of administration, 3 units of Adult Supervision, and 3 units of infant care.
- A permit from the Department of Education at the Program Director level.
- Completion of CCL Components 1&3.
- Knowledge of DRDP, ITERS, CLASS, and ASQ
- Pass a health screening test, Immunized against: Influenza, Pertussis and Measles, TB test and drug screening

- Ability to bend, lift 40 pounds and carry out the physical duties associated with working with young children.
- Punctual and Regular Attendance
Additional Requirements:
- Background Clearance with a Criminal Record and Child Abuse Index Clearance.
- Exemption-free status with Community Care Licensing for the duration of employment with FSA.
- Valid California Driver’s License or California ID and proof of Automobile Insurance.
- Hold and maintain a current and valid pediatric First Aid/CPR (EMSA) card.
- Travel as needed to agency, community, and state functions.
- Professional Self Development totaling a minimum of 21 hours annually - Attend workshops, conferences, college classes, or in-service staff development opportunities as recommended and/or provided that enhances skills and knowledge in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, and as required to maintain the appropriate and required Child Development Permit, Be QRIS compliant, and/or lead to higher degrees.
