BHT ManagerLocationPeoria, AZ- Cherry HillsScheduleMonday-Friday 8a-5p, on-callScope of WorkUnder the oversight of the Program Director, this position is responsible for all daily functions of the assigned treatment facilities, including staff, clients, house upkeep and needs, as well as licensure regulations. BHT Managers will provide supervisory functions as well as provide direct care with staff.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Problem solve with clients and team members concerning daily care and service needs.Advocate for needed client services.Work cooperatively with clinical team to develop client ISP.Serve as a liaison with clients and clinical team.Coordinate care with off-site programs and activities as necessary.Provide support, encouragement and assistance to BHTs in the performance of their duties. Provide direct care.With assistance from the Program Director, hire and maintain the authorized staff level for AGL homes.Assist in the development of and conduct required initial orientation and training for all direct care staff.Participate in management staff meetings.Follow and institute all FSL and AGL policies and procedures.Meet annual requirements for continuing educations and training.Assist staff in meeting their required annual educational training.Assist staff in meeting their required monthly clinical oversight.Assist in problem solving with other BHT Managers and Dual Managers, BHTs and staff members when client care needs, schedules or staff require it.Identify the need for and request professional consultation from Program Director as client and/or staff needs dictate.Monitor and assure compliance with AGL clinical and administrative documentation requirements and other AGL policy and procedure.Participate in overall AGL policy development, strategic planning and management decision making.Prepare reports in timely manner.Accurately communicate the needs of staff, clients and management to and from staff and management.Provide on-call supervisory coverage on a rotating basis and/or as directed with other management staff.Maintain accurate staff time records.Responsible for the management of the facility budget, control of purchase cards, and petty cash funds for facility operations.Responsible for management of a petty cash account and company purchasing card. Prepare current, accurate and complete reports of petty cash/purchasing card expenses as required by AGL Policy and Procedure.Maintain a complete daily coverage schedule (24 hours) for the home.Develop and maintain backup and emergency coverage plans for the home in coordination with the Program Director. Meet with the Clinical Program Manager or designee on a regular basis for clinical supervision. Follow up on written and oral directions concerning client care.Transport clients to regular and unscheduled medical or psychiatric appointments and conduct follow up to ensure changes in orders are communicated to appropriate clinical staff.Informs the Clinical Program Manager and Program Director of any changes in client condition, medical orders and other contacts as required by AGL Policy and Procedure.Participate in the Performance and Quality Improvement initiative at the agency and program level by learning about the initiative, offering input, suggesting performance improvements, and performing other PQI duties as requested.Managers are responsible for the monitoring of self-administration of the medication program in the facility which may include: contacting the pharmacy, coordinating refills, and inputting medications in an electronic medical record (EMR).BHT Dual Managers are responsible for two or more AGL facilitiesOther duties as required and/or assigned.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED21 years or older.Valid AZ Driver's License and insurance, and available transportation within the community.Ability to drive FSL vehicles and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable by FSL.Two years’ experience in behavioral field and one year supervisory experience; combination of training, experience and/or education may substitute.Must be able to obtain Certified Caregiver Certification.Preferred:Some college coursework.Five years’ experience in the behavioral health field and three years’ supervisory experience is desirable.Experience with SMI clients living in the community setting. ***Military Personnel Encouraged to Apply.***Proud to be a Mature Worker Friendly Certified Employer through the Governor's Council on Aging.FSL is an Equal Opportunity /Affirmative Action Employer, M/F/D/V.
