Maintenance Site Supervisor
Job Summary
The Facility Maintenance Site Supervisor is responsible for, under direction of the Operations Manager, performing regular preventative maintenance for our facility assets, including but not limited to, HVAC equipment, refrigeration units, water heaters, and plumbing systems. We are hiring for ambitious technology startups building the next generation of food delivery. The ghost kitchen industry is currently in hyper-growth mode looking for rock-stars to work at their facilities. They are constantly growing and innovating in the space and are looking for driven and excited people who can help build out the role and help grow the business and function!
Maintenance Responsibilities
- Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC units, refrigeration units, water heaters, and ice machines
- Examines and diagnoses HVAC performance issues
- Conducts regular facility inspections, maintenance audits, and identifies fire, OSHA and building code violations
- Documents, reports and maintains log of all maintenance work completed
- Identifies problem areas and evaluates needs for additional preventative maintenance services
- Troubleshoots complex issues to determine appropriate repairs
- Performs general upkeep and maintenance including cleaning, painting, power-washing, minor landscaping
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples include repairing drywall, tile, doors and other building fixtures
- Performs minor plumbing repairs. Examples include repairing or replacing faucet fixtures, water supply and drain lines
- Performs minor electrical repairs. Examples include replacing outlets and lightswitches, diagnosing power consumption, and performing facility power audits
- Assists with assembly, transportation and installation of kitchen equipment
Sanitation Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchens, floors, walls, drains, wood, HVAC vents, ceiling fans, air intakes and fixtures as well as restroom areas.
- Safely and correctly operates all equipment, uses all chemicals properly in the correct quantities for safety and cost control, adheres to all state and county safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintenance of storage areas, and stocking.
- Empties trash and cleans and maintains trash cans.
- Assist other team members when business needs dictate and maintain a favorable working relationship at all times.
- Be friendly and approachable, with ability to communicate with guests and team members, dressed neatly and professionally.
- Check in with facility partners to guarantee satisfaction and relay reports to facility management.
- Demonstrate leadership and job expertise through a positive attitude, initiative and exceptional communication skills.
Qualifications
- 2 years of technical, maintenance or handyman experience
- 30-40 hours per week commitment, occasionally including nights or weekends
- Proven general knowledge of, including but not limited to, painting, carpentry, drywall patching, plumbing and electrical repair
- Basic understanding of mechanical and refrigeration systems
- Technical intuition to quickly problem solve
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time & stand on feet for up to 8 hours per day
- Physically able to work outdoors for long periods of time, climb ladders, traverse roof spaces, and bend or crawl into awkward spaces
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
- Strong organizational skills and time management while working independently
- Able to handle customer-facing interactions with kitchens and other stakeholders, promoting a customer-focused environment
