Construction Superintendent

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager/Owner's Representative to assist the project management team in monitoring construction activities for a large multimillion-dollar winery renovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget, and experience representing the owner's interests throughout the project.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities.
• Attend daily and weekly job walks.
• Respond to RFI and Submittal Requests, and review shop drawings.
• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
• Interface with onsite staff, construction team, and leadership.
• Ensure build quality adheres to original plans and specifications.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the owner, effectively representing the owner's interests in all project matters.
• Coordinate and manage project changes, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
• Monitor project progress, costs, and quality, and report regularly to the owner.
• Ensure the project is completed in accordance with the owner's requirements and objectives.
• Support Project Manager(s) as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction management or related fields.
• Experience in an owner's representative role is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with construction management software.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Work Environment:

• Works outdoors/indoors.
• Works in warm/cold climates.
• Works in high places.
• Works on wet surfaces.
• Is exposed to loud noise, fumes, and/or toxic chemicals.
• Works near moving mechanical parts and lift truck traffic.
• Must be able to move up to 55 lbs.
• Primary construction environment may be warehouse/distribution setting.
• Weekend work as needed to support construction schedule.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $49.00 per hour
