What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Coordinator position at FTS Inc?
Our privately owned, multi-state homebuilding organization looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to manage all Purchase Orders for new construction starts and ensure PO accuracy.
**New homebuilding employment experience required for consideration
Responsibilities:
- Compile all vendor information and costing data to prepare for PO releases
- Review lot unique budgets and ensure purchase orders reflect accurately
- Issue POs for new starts and ensure all proper notification to vendors
- Review construction extras and ensure proper coding of EPOs and VPOs
- Update pre-permitting tasks
- Monitor backlog for PO pricing updates
- Identify PO task code errors and fix root cause
- Process change orders and spec re-selections
- Assist with updating of material takeoffs and vendor costing data
- Assist with tracking of late and or missing materials
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in related field strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a similar position, preferably with a high-volume builder
- Strong understanding of construction, subcontracting, and customer service
- Manage multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner with strong attention to detail with limited supervision
- Experience with Build Pro, NewStar and Microsoft Office preferred

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per hour
