What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety/Risk Manager position at FTS Inc?
- Set strategic direction for the department and its staff.
- Manage and streamline departmental workflows to ensure efficient coordination, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of insurance claims, encompassing Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Property Damage claims.
- Conduct daily investigations, reviews, and assessments of new insurance claims.
- Collaborate closely with restaurant and field managers to promptly gather essential information and documentation for claims, and oversee interactions with insurance representatives.
- Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure timely closure and accounting of open and recoverable claims, particularly property-related.
- Partner with external legal counsel on matters of general liability, and oversee vendors' reserve and settlement requests.
- Manage contracts with safety and risk vendors (Sharps, SDS, Safety Shoes, E-Training).
- Communicate company safety and risk management initiatives internally.
- Attend quarterly claims reviews.
- Coordinate annual renewal information with brokers and insurance providers for the renewal of insurance contracts.
- Approve and oversee reserves for claims.
- Manage, administer, and prepare various safety and risk management activities as assigned.
- Generate monthly and quarterly reports to track claims costs and activity.
- Provide monthly analysis of Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Property Damage claims.
- Coordinate with the legal department upon receipt of summons and complaints, ensuring all relevant parties are informed for proper handling. Gather necessary information to support claim defense efforts.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
