What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP of Land Acquisition position at FTS Inc?
**Prior Production Builder Experience Required
Responsibilities:
- Locating, acquiring and developing quality land for building residential communities
- Plan and build communities with a customer first approach
- Create and maintain Division land availability inventory system
- Maintain a network of industry and political contacts
- Coordinate market research
- Conduct timely feasibility studies to assess lands’ physical, political and financial aspects
- Provide continuous projections from feasibility Proforma to purchase budget
- Accountable for representing the Division in negotiating each project’s acquisition
- Accurately estimate cash flow projections
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably a Master’s degree in Engineering, Planning or Business
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the homebuilding or real estate acquisition industries
- 10 years or more experience managing people and projects
- Sharp, analytical, and negotiating skills
- Public speaking experience essential
