Production Technician

Job Description Are you our new Production Technician? Fugro Norway AS - Satellite Positioning Service Line is looking for Production Technician for our Operational Department. We have a vacancy for a Production Technician to join the Oslo-based Production team. The Satellite Positioning Production team manages stock of GNSS related hardware and supports both internal and external clients by preparing and shipping out their hardware orders to destinations worldwide. Perform quality control on incoming hardware shipments Assisting Logistics Coordinator with packing hardware for outgoing shipments Assisting Workshop Coordinator with rotation and organization of inventory. Participating in quarterly stock counts Support and promote a Team Fugro culture with focus on environment and safety Qualifications required: Background in Production Engineering or Electrical and Computer technology Good written and oral English Advantageous skills: Suitable BSc or technical college level qualification Good written and oral Norwegian Independent, structured, and self-driven Understanding of electronics and computer technology Professional approach and good communication skills Knowledge of DP systems or offshore experience would be a distinct advantage Fugro Satellite Positioning manage a global network of reference stations, monitoring signals from GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and Galileo) satellites and generating corrections to significantly improve the accuracy of unaugmented GNSS signals. Correction messages are transmitted to vessels via a robust, fault-tolerant broadcast infrastructure, providing precise, reliable, real-time satellite positioning that is accurate worldwide, to just a few centimetres.
