Job Description
The PowerBI Specialist is a passionate and talented Power Business Intelligence (BI) Developer who creates and manages dashboards and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge, focusing on enhancing our business intelligence system to enable better decision-making.
This position requires problem-solving aptitude, strong analytical and communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
Design, build, test, deliver, and maintain comprehensive data analysis, reports, and dashboards.
Operational stability of the reporting environment, ensuring objects are properly monitored and audited to provide data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of delivery.
Collaborate with team members (users, operations analysts, software engineers, database engineers, and managers) with diverse and varied technical skills sets to design and develop customer specific reporting components.
Create, enhance, and maintain business analytics models (relational and DMR), including packages designed for report development.
Exhibit a commitment to data quality by validating results compared with the database at each step of the development process.
Present complex data to non-technical end-users in a clear and concise manner through reporting visualization tools to help them make sense of the data.
Required Qualifications:
5 years of experience with Business Intelligence tools.
5 years of experience working with relational databases.
5 years of experience with Power BI tools and systems such as Power BI, Tableau, SAP, etc.
3 years of relational database analysis experience, ability to read both conceptual and physical models.
3 years of experience writing SQL used in report customizations and data sources integrations.
Expert knowledge of data management, business intelligence, and analytics concepts
Solid quantitative and qualitative analytical skills for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics
Experience with advanced data modeling techniques; predictive modeling, link analysis, graphical analysis, supervised and unsupervised models
Proven excellent communication both written and verbal
Soft Skills:
Solid attention to detail and accuracy
Keen observation skills and comfortable with complex data sets
Intuitive, self-starter with solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
