POSITION OVERVIEW
The Production Planner will serve as a member of a cross-functional team to determine and meet manufacturing goals. The person in this role will be responsible for the daily production scheduling and coordination of the movement of raw materials and finished goods between our facilities, suppliers, and customers. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience across multiple functional disciplines preferably in supply chain, distribution, logistics, and transportation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production planning for the Refinery process utilizing capacity scheduling, sequence planning and run length and mix planning
- Runs Material Requirement Planning (MRP) for all production work centers.
- Creates and maintains production schedule based on production requirements and possible production delays
- Ensures raw material availability to meet production schedule

Optimization of the production schedule considering:
- Efficient operations
- Customer requirements
- Intercompany requirements
- Forecast and make to order process
- Measuring of production planning and execution KPI
- Inventory management
- Coordinates planning with other related teams
- Supports the team in defining, implementing, and documenting standard operating procedures and effectively transferring knowledge of processes
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience
- Exhibited experience in an ERP environment with demonstrated knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, production planning and scheduling systems.
- Skilled in measuring, monitoring, analyzing performance metrics and standards with ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of existing business performance & process
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Logistics or Industrial Engineering preferred; Alternative disciplines accepted with relevant experience
- APICS Certified or commitment to obtain
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Attributes
- Knowledge of production and material flow in a manufacturing environment
- Supply Chain fundamentals including MRP, scheduling, and inventory control methods
- Demonstrated experience with a computerized ERP is required, preferably SAP
- Service oriented with a focus on maintaining a high degree of confidentiality, honesty, and integrity
- Ability to think critically, plan, multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Ability to perform and problem solve in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines.
- Self-Starter with excellent interpersonal skills; Able to work well independently and as part of a team
- Ability to learn and understand the technical aspects of the material used and products produced
- Must be data driven and detailed oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Products
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and subordinates with a high degree of diplomacy
- Proficient in performing basic mathematical calculations
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
- Must have the ability to meet the following physical demands:
- Frequent sitting; moderate amounts of standing & walking
- Must be able to view, hear, read, and respond while using a personal computer, keyboard, computer monitor within close and sometimes distant range, equipment controls, radio, and other media devices as required to complete job duties
- Must be able to use sound judgment and wear appropriate PPE in various industrial areas; Has the ability to tolerate a moderate level of noise with proper PPE

Salary : $53,700 - $68,100
