Overview

We are currently hiring a Project Manager, Strategic Initiatives.  The role shall have oversight responsibility to manage delivery of Strategic Divisional Projects across all associated business areas against agreed management plans and deliverable dates. The Project Manager will build positive relationships with the internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Service, Software and Product Management Teams; product management (including TMM), and product marketing) to ensure delivery that meets the needs of the project(s), within the project plan constraints; scope, time, budget.    

 

FUJIFILM North America Corporation consists of five divisions including Imaging, Electronic Imaging, Graphic Systems, Optical Devices, and Industrial Products and Corporate New Business Development. These companies market a broad range of consumer and commercial products in North America and Latin America.  The Imaging Division (ID) provides consumer and commercial photographic products and services. The Electronic Imaging Division (EID) markets consumer digital cameras; the Graphic Systems Division (GSD) supplies products and services to the graphic printing industry; the Optical Devices Division (OD) provides optical lenses for broadcast, cinematography, closed circuit television and binoculars.  The Industrial Products Division (IPD) supplies cutting edge digital imaging and conventional film, chemistry and equipment to the NDT industry.

Responsibilities

  •  Develop and maintain partnerships with key internal stakeholders across all business areas
  • Business Process Management:
    • Define, document, and manage the overall process for the project(s) within Fujifilm North American Corporation from a project management perspective, across all involved stakeholder groups. The process must be business driven, and not technically led:
      • Define the management escalation processes, where applicable
      • Define and document the business process.
    • Update and manage the evolution of the business process, to serve the business, optimizing process efficiency with available resources.
  • Project management:
    • Define, agree and publish a detailed plan for the project(s); tailored to the scale of the deliverable encompassing all stakeholder groups.
      • Define the key stakeholders, roles and responsibilities.
      • Define deliverables, dates, milestones, dependencies, risks and contingency plan.
      • Ensure sign-off and commitment to the plan by all stakeholder business groups.
      • Manage customer awareness and approvals, where required, via Product Management (Technical Marketing Manager), and Sales Team.
      • Ensure awareness of published plans and status updates across all stakeholder groups, including the customer.
      • Track deliverables to ensure projects remain on track to published schedules.
      • Actively manage issues with stakeholders to maintain performance against the schedule.
  • Communication: 
    • Manage internal communication ensuring “one voice" across all internal Fujifilm stakeholders, with a clearly defined communication strategy.
    • Coordinate effective external customer communication via the Technical Marketing Manager to agree and convey the project definition, (requirements, deliverables, timeline, deployment and any corrective actions), plan, and status updates.
    • Escalate issues with urgency to Fujifilm management where there may be a project impact; with action plans to ensure project delivery.

 

Required Skills/Education

Education

  • Associate’s degree in marketing and/or technical discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience

  • 5 years’ experience in a technical marketing or role
  • Experience in defining, planning, and executing solutions for large scale retail accounts.
  • A proven track record in learning new technologies with the ability to clearly communicate their value proposition.
  • The ability to speak with the internal customer(s) and drive the internal stakeholders to develop what is required; on-time, within budgetary constraints.
  • Experience and success in creating and reviewing statements of work, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
  • Experience in coordinating multiple teams to deliver and support products and services.
  • Understanding of digital image definitions and processes is helpful as well as a background in technical service in the photographic industry.
