ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for oversight of assigned restaurant operations for the casino.
Develops and enhances restaurant programs to improve operational performance, increase revenue and provide the highest level of customer service at all times.
Ensures that all menu items are of the highest quality and consistency.
Establishes and maintains restaurant programs in compliance with safety and health standards, employment law, Colorado Limited Gaming Act, and internal policies and procedures.
Directs, manages and develops an effective staff: hires, trains, schedules, rewards and disciplines staff. Develops staff to meet and exceed performance expectations by establishing and maintaining a positive work morale and effective employee relations.
Ensures that all staff wear and maintain all uniforms properly, including nametags.
Implements restaurant policies and procedures and acts to ensure that all employees are informed.
Manages and controls the restaurant budget and takes actions, as necessary, to achieve a profit or to manage operations within budgetary requirements.
Attends and participates in casino departmental management meetings and provides clarification and guidance regarding various restaurant issues, goals and objectives. Makes presentations on restaurant issues as requested or required
Maintains an alertness for the performance of all responsibilities, and a general awareness of restaurant operations at all times. Keeps supervisor informed of any concerns.
Monitors restaurant operations, conducts profit and loss (P&L) analysis and promptly makes changes, when necessary, to enhance the performance of casino operations. Depending on business needs, performs any position in the restaurant, as necessary.
Communicates and maintains performance standards for interaction with guests and manages staff to anticipate, reduce or eliminate complaints from guests.
Directs regular inventory reconciliation of all food and beverages. Directs staff in the development of various reports to measure and track restaurant operations.
Performs or directs the programming of menus into Point-of Sale computers.
Ensures compliance with established security polices and procedures.
Within the realm of the responsibility of the job, maintains a clean and safe work environment. Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures, which includes use of safety equipment. Incumbents are responsible for following safety procedures, identifying unsafe practices or conditions and informing their supervisor or the Safety Committee of unsafe conditions, as directed.
Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
$55,000 annually based on experience
