Commercial Construction Superintendent

The Superintendent position oversees and administers the onsite day-to-day general operations of one or more construction projects, typically from start to finish of each project.

Responsibilities include:

• Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of the project including laborers/sub-contractors.
• Inspect sub-contractor operations to ensure compliance with contract, plans, and specs.
• Review and approve sub/trade contractor payment applications with the Project Manager.
• Prepare and manage schedules and ensure all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates.
• Maintain good relationships with clients, Architects, and Engineers.
• Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
• Monitor costs, including labor time and material.
• Enforce Safety Program to maintain safety standards.
• Conduct subcontractor coordination meetings and safety talks.
• Prepare and submit daily logs documenting jobsite activities and issues.

Qualifications Desired:

• You have experience managing commercial construction projects or extensive foreman experience as a trade subcontractor on commercial construction projects.
• Ability to read & interpret contract documents, plans, specifications, safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• You have strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
• You are computer literate and have experience with Microsoft Office products.
• You understand the commercial construction budget process and have basic math and accounting skills.

Full Time Construction is a privately held commercial construction company with offices in Ormond Beach, Fl and Bartow, Fl. We build all types of commercial projects but have a specialty in automotive dealerships. Our work is focused in central Florida.

Salary: $65,000 to $85,000

Job Type: Full Time, Salary

Travel: Required across central Florida. Superintendents are typically assigned projects from start to finish for durations of 4 to 12 months.
