Fulton Science Academy - Director of Outreach, Partnership, and Advancement
Job Purpose:
Under the direction of the Head of School, the Director of Outreach, Partnership, and Development is responsible for developing and implementing outreach and partnership strategies to enhance the K-12 school's visibility, reputation, and impact. The Director will identify and cultivate relationships with external partners, sponsors, donors, and community organizations to expand the school's reach and resources. The Director will also oversee the development and execution of fundraising campaigns and events to support the school's mission and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement outreach and partnership strategies to enhance the school's visibility, reputation, and impact.
- Guide marketing and communication, building on the school’s brand recognition.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with external partners, sponsors, donors, and community organizations to expand the school's reach and resources.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities for partnerships and outreach initiatives.
- Develop and execute implementation of all fundraising initiatives and programs including, but not limited to, Annual Fund, Capital Campaigns, Grant Writing, and Planned Giving.
- Represent the school at public events, meetings, and conferences to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners.
- Guide Division Heads on any school-related fundraising efforts.
- Engage the school community and greater Atlanta community through social media, and face-to-face networking.
- Keep records of all real-time interactions with potential donors and gifts to school
- Prepare and distribute solicitation material and send reminders to donors who pledged contributions
- Attend regular meetings with key school leaders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in outreach, partnership, and development roles in a nonprofit, for-profit organization, or independent school with a strong emphasis on partnership development, community outreach, and fundraising.
- Knowledge of, and an appreciation for, independent education.
- Proven track record of successful partnership development, outreach initiatives, and fundraising campaigns.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- ●Experience with donor software.
