Performance Coach

Seeking a strength and conditioning coach or similar exercise specialist for our outpatient rehabilitation and wellness clinic. This position will be responsible for helping our members meet their healthy living goals. This position will coordinate with the other healthcare providers for patient management by developing, implementing and coordinating exercise programs for our clients. Specific availability needed for Monday, Thursday, and Friday Evenings 5pm-8pm.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor exercise participants
• Perform fitness assessments, determine exercise prescriptions, and design fitness programming specific to the goals and ability level of the client
• Provide private (1 to 1), semi-private (4 to 1), small group (5 ) training sessions 60 minutes in length and Group Fitness (10 ) 45 minutes in length

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Kinesiology, Exercise Science, etc.) and/or 2 years' fitness and wellness industry experience
• Fitness industry certification(s) from a nationally recognized provider (NSCA, ACSM, or NASM. Other certifying bodies will be considered)
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute
• Strong understanding of treatment options for sports or related injuries/conditions
• Youth athlete certification is not required but preferred
• Must obtain personal liability insurance upon hire
• The physical demands for this role include remaining in a stationary position (often standing) for prolonged periods, quickly responding to incidents with short notice and medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
