As the Front End Developer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of a critical web applications layer architecture and various front end systems supporting eCommerce and other digital initiatives. We are looking for someone that can join a team of forward-thinking individuals to implement the newest technologies. We are not asking you to do everything yourself, but need generalists that can pitch in where needed!
Your Superpowers in Action
- Implement web designs that are asynchronous, responsive, and provide a rich user experience across platforms.
- Use modern frameworks (i.e. React.JS) to develop experiences across devices
- Implement new frameworks and software that meets Funko’s standards in performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Create rapid prototypes to vet new design, interaction, and integration concepts.
- Recommend new technologies, technical design, and user interactions that will help differentiate the Funko digital experience.
- Work with vendor and employee resources to deliver projects on time and with a high level of quality as measured by performance, uptime, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and solve production issues related to performance and reliability throughout the software stack.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks in the system and work to resolve these issue before they become a problem.
- Productively contribute to development projects in an agile software development environment, participate in sprint planning, task breakdown, and daily stand ups.
- Recommend new technologies and identify and articulate better ways of doing things.
- Stay current with new web technologies and integrate applicable technologies to our development process.
Must-Have Superhero Gadgetry
- Ability to identify and follow a software bug throughout the front-end software stack all the way to the client side code.
- Experience building complex performant web application and that have been successfully deployed.
- Experience in a real-world software development environment that employs engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience working in a fast-paced web environment where requirements may change and hot fixes are occasionally needed.
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to describe software product features, technical designs, and implementation detail.
- Highly collaborative, results driven individual who can balance daily tactical activities with longer-term technical strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent related experience
- Fluent in a modern web framework such as Angular, React, or Ember
- Fluent in the following Languages, HTML5, CSS, JS, PHP, and SQL.
- Three or more years’ experience in Ecommerce systems
- Four or more years’ experience in web development or app development
