JOB TITLE: Bartender

SUMMARY:

As a Bartender your job is to fill drink orders either directly from a guest or through servers who place drink orders for dining room guests in the restaurant setting. They must be knowledgeable on a wide range cocktail recipe and be able to mix those drinks correctly, quickly and without waste. Bartenders are expected to interact with guests to supply them with a drink that appears directly to their tastes. Bartenders also are responsible for taking and serving food orders to guests. They play an important role in guest satisfaction as they are responsible for checking on guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and drinks and take action to correct any problems. The goal is to provide an exceptional guest experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with vendors to attain competitive pricing, quotes, purchase parts, and maintain appropriate shipping and receiving of maintenance orders.

• Full bar service including wine, beer and crafted cocktails
• Check customers identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age
• Maintain a clean and organized work space
• Make drinks in a quick and efficient manner
• Provide excellent customer service
• Make suggestions based on their preferences
• Up-sell when appropriate
• Keep bar clean and tidy at all times
• Deliver checks and collect payment
• Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines

• Able to use hands and fingers to feel.
• Able to move equipment which would include pushing pulling, bending, and lifting.
• Able to stand, walk, crouch, crawl, kneel, or stoop.
• Able to walk quickly to/from job locations up to 200 feet
• Able to regularly lift/and or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have good hearing and visual acuity to observe equipment, The Funplex guests, etc.
• Able to read and understand daily checklists, rules and regulations.
• Able to speak to give verbal instructions to guests and other employees.
• Able to work in a considerably noisy environment from equipment and amusements rides.
• Able to perform work duties outside in carrying weather conditions prevalent at the times.
• Requires early arrivals and or/late night departures.

Bartenders requirements and qualifications

• T.I.P.S certification a plus
• ServSafe certification a plus
• Must be 21 years of age or older per South Carolina guidelines
