Sales

We are expanding! We just leased a large showroom in Mentor and will be moving in 2023. Our sales position is one of the most sought after in our company and has very little turnover.

We are looking for a career and customer service-oriented person to fit in our low-pressure sales environment. Sales staff provides information about our product to the customers, instead of trying to use sales tactics to convince them to buy. Our pricing is the lowest in town which makes selling easy at our company compared to other furniture stores.

No furniture sales experience required! Most of our sales staff had never sold before starting at our company. We will happily train any person with a positive attitude and desire to succeed. Please make sure you are comfortable helping customers load product in their vehicles before you apply. We offer full-service delivery with our warehouse crew but a lot of customers like to take product with them the same day to save on delivery fees.

Daily responsibilities and requirements:
-Greet customers at door to explain our program.

-Help customer through purchase process.

-Answering phone and writing up orders over the phone.

-Communicate with customer via email and online messaging.

-Help customers at sales counter. Collect payment, properly fill out invoice and process order.

-Help customers with any service issue.

-Assist customer with loading product in their vehicles. Must be able to dolly a sofa, lift 50lbs. You will assist customers with pickups between 2 and 10 times per day.

-Must be able to press a sofa down off a sofa rack within 90 days of starting job (we will train).

-Work with multiple customers at once. We have an extremely high energy, fun sales environment. We pay more than the typical store, but you will have to move at a fast pace for most of the day.

-Base pay plus commission, bonuses.

Base pay is around $600 a week (based on hours worked) plus commission of 1-3% on sales. Many different bonuses on different product such as mattresses and protection plans.

-Growing company. We project to double in size (again) in the next 5 years. Plenty of room for advancement. We only promote from within and have created multiple $100,000 a year or higher jobs in the last few years.

-Family oriented. We treat everyone with respect and have relaxed management style. The managers and owner do not yell or get upset when things go wrong, instead we figure out how to make things better as a team one step at a time. The owner is on site 7 days a week to help troubleshoot any issues.

About our company:

Furniture Warehouse was founded in 2013 as a distributor of wholesale furniture and a retail division in 2018. Our retail division quickly grew from zero to over 25 employees in a few years. Last year we sold over $10 million in furniture and look to do even more at the new location. The owner was named one of the top 40 in the industry under 40 years old by Home Furnishings magazine.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
