Responsibilities:
- Transition network infrastructure to FortiGate from SonicWall and Dell solutions.
- Design and implement best practices for network engineering, including scalability and security.
- Benchmark and establish operational standards for a growing network environment.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to develop their networking and systems knowledge.
- Collaborate with the VP and team to align network infrastructure with business goals.
- Provide after-hours support for the 24/7 retail operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with FortiGate implementation, configuration, and management (key requirement).
- Hands-on expertise with SonicWall and Dell technologies (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless networking, firewalls, and Layer 2/3 switches.
- Experience in 24/7 operations environments with an emphasis on network reliability.
- Relevant certifications (Fortinet NSE, Cisco, or equivalent) and a degree in Computer Science or related field are highly valued.
- Emphasis on expertise with security measures like MFA, anti-virus, and data backup systems.
- Experience with scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell.
