Job Description from Google Cloud Platform :
1. Network Engineer with 2-5 years telecom and cloud industry experience
2. Google Certification Cloud Architect, Cloud Network Engineer or equivalent experience
3. Kubernetes certification - Certified Kubernetes Architect
4. Hands-on experience deploying services on Google Cloud, using the console, gcloud CLI, and/or Cloud APIs
a. Experience deploying and managing containerized workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and familiar with Google Cloud
networking concepts and configurations
b. CLI hands-on experience with tools like kubectl, gcloud, helm, and knowledge of configuring Linux based operating systems
c. Familiar with the functional model of operators/controllers and custom resources
5. Troubleshooting experiences for Kubernetes cluster and network infrastructure
6. Ability to write concise and clear technical documentation
7. You are representing Google so strictly follow Google policies with regards to security, privacy and confidentiality.
NF Validation Activities
1. Deploy and troubleshoot GDCE by following Google documents
2. Configure, troubleshoot and maintain Kubernetes clusters using Google Cloud documentation, and industry best practices
3. Provide support for onboarding network functions. The activities include technical design collaborations with NF vendors.
4. Configure and troubleshoot networking within and outside GDCE. This requires expertise in routing and switching protocols such as
BGP, OSPF, LACP, VRFs, VLANs and IPAM, L2/L3 switching & routing, etc. 5. Configure and troubleshoot Cloud VPN (IPsec) tunnels between GDCE and Google Cloud Platform
6. Support any hardware and software issues in GDCE and Google Cloud Platform.
7. Capable of writing, troubleshooting, and resolving support tickets using Google bug system
8. Lead or participate in GDCE troubleshooting with NF partners and Google customers.
Success Criteria / Milestones
1. Qualified resource who can take responsibility to undertake onboarding and troubleshooting of Network functions on GDCE.
2. Candidate achieving professional level expertise to manage GDCE from design, deployment and operations.
3. Demonstrated capabilities to adequately support program demands throughout the evaluation phase.
