Sr. Automation Engineer

-8 years of automation experience

-Experience in vendor oversight -- ensuring onsite technicians act compliantly with regulations
Day-to-Day
We are looking for an Automation Engineer for one of our pharmaceutical clients in Central, NJ. One of this resources roles will consist of supporting the Specification, Configuration, and implementation needed to transition the current SOP Control System from DeltaV 12.3.1 to DeltaV 14.3.1. The automation expert will also assist in specifying maintenance plans and execution of maintenance of the new DeltaV 14.3.1 system along with the OQ of the software. 60% of their day will consist of programming:
- Small changes and modifications to configurations
- Process end problems
- Requests for improvements and programming new sequences.
40% of their day will be administrative: user management, adding users to the DeltaV program, writing up performance monitoring reports, tuning of controllers in the field, resolving any problem statement issues, and supporting all tasks for the pilot plant on site. Pilot plant support will include daily interactions with the production staff and monitoring of equipment to ensure all is running smoothly and kept up to date. This candidate will help automate all high-pressure lab equipment in a GMP environment. The equipment they will work with will include reactors, shakers, granulation machines, and lab devices. Candidates will interface with the stakeholders to identify any issues, troubleshoot, and then automate as necessary.
