Customer Service / Quotes Specialist
Fusion Optix is a leading LED lighting technology company based just outside Boston MA. Our mission is to provide the best performing, most sustainable lighting & products for our market partners. We are seeking a Customer Service & Quotations Specialist to become an integral part of our team! Primary Objective:
The primary objective of this position is to support customers and business opportunities by efficiently generating timely and accurate quotations to our network of agents, electrical distributors, contractors and OEMs.
You will also be asked to process orders, manage existing orders (provide status updates to customers), work with internal teams to develop shop drawings/submittals and escalate post sales issues (defective product, missed shipments, replacement orders, etc…). Good Inter-personal skills, strong organizational skills and diligent follow up are pre-requisites for this role.
This position can also be an excellent stepping stone to additional roles within the organization.
Previous experience in lighting or the architectural and design industries a plus, but not required.
Job Responsibilities:
Generate new quotes – develop part numbers, create descriptions and generate prices from a quotations tool.
Request and obtain vendor pricing.
Develop and maintain manufacturer and customer relationships.
Follow up on quotations provided to customers and gather competitive feedback to close new business opportunities.
Communicate with outside sales and sales management on quotation requests, change requests and bid strategies.
Have the ability to “think outside the box” and offer alternate lighting solutions when necessary or requested.
Possess a high sense of urgency, attention to detail, a “do whatever it takes to get the job done” attitude.
Work with internal engineering teams on technical drawings detailing product specifics for customer orders.
Many requests have tight deadlines. The ability to work proficiently under time constraints is a must.
Maintaining a positive, can-do attitude toward customers at all times.
Having a continuous improvement approach to business processes.
Responding promptly to customer inquiries and being pro-active to exceed customer expectations.
Communicating with customers through various channels.
Acknowledging and resolving customer post sales requests.
Knowing our products inside and out so that you can answer questions.
Processing orders, forms, applications, and requests.
Keeping records of customer interactions, transactions, comments and complaints.
Communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary.
Providing feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process.
Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support.
Previous Experience with Salesforce CRM a plus
