A District Manager for the Indianapolis/Louisville market.
The DM position is responsible for maximizing volume and profits for a territory of stores through effective management, developing the store management teams, and driving the execution of company programs, policies, and procedures. The position requires travel and may require overnight travel. A DM reports directly to the Director of Stores.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability within the district
- Establish a positive, professional, sales-and-profit-oriented atmosphere; motivate others to meet and exceed sales plans; ensure district compliance with all corporate sales and customer service programs, analyze sales trends by using available resources
- Ensure proper staffing by recruiting and retaining management team associates, encourage associate development through store training programs, motivate staff to achieve position goals by providing regular coaching; partner with the Director of Stores
- Ensure adherence to policies & procedures to support efficient operations as well as a pleasant shopping environment; ensure and support store management’s pursuit of financial goals; maintain & control all expenses; protect corporate assets; ensure efficient use of payroll
- Ensure inventory integrity; effectively merchandise store in accordance with corporate communications; increase personal product knowledge and that of all district Associates, actively shop competition to maintain awareness of competition; ensure that the store is in-stock
- Conduct regular store visits to assess operations, provide feedback, and ensure compliance with company standards
- Ensure appropriate and thorough communication of company, regional, and district information and initiatives to all stores and managers in assigned territory, using laptop, voicemail, hard copy, and live interpersonal means.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably as a District Manager or similar position
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel within the district as needed

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
