Production Assistant (title negotiable)
The Production Assistant will be responsible for the end to end process of raising authorized purchase orders to satisfy the requirements of the Company, ensure inventory and receiving accuracy, and fulfill orders focusing on the customer experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES
- Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioner
- Interacting with Computers using computers and computer systems including hardware and software.
- Prepare, maintain and review purchasing files, reports and price lists.
- Compare price, specifications and delivery dates in order to determine the best cost among potential suppliers.
- Performing Administrative Activities, performing day to day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
- Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes or cancellations.
- Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with both internal colleagues and external suppliers, and maintaining them over time.
- Identify and relate any issues and(or) updates with orders, administrative paperwork, suppliers to appropriate personnel.
- Finds and researches new suppliers/vendors.
- Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Enter data for quantities of items issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments, into computer database
- Maintain compliance in accordance with the Bureau of Cannabis Control
- Receive and issue finished goods into a computer database
- Produce shipping documents and ensure timely pickup of all orders
- Negotiate rates and delivery options with shipping carriers
- Onboarding new personnel
- Efficiently label and tag incoming products
- Prepare daily reports for cycle count and COGS
- Prepare and participate in physical inventory cycle counts
- Facilitate on inventory management and inform management on low items, misplaced items, or defective items
- Manage and review all incoming orders, ensuring complete accuracy with the manifests and invoices
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must adhere to a promote ALL company safety policies. Wear all required PPE when in Production areas and promote a clean and safe work environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The Production Assistant must be able to meet and successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The following physical demands are representative to the position.
The position is active and requires extensive standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, stooping, crawling, climbing, and crouching. Along with such movements, employee is required to lift materials of up to 75 pounds. Additional demands are listed below:
- Able to lift, carry, and or push up to 50 lbs. periodically

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
POSITION TYPE / HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Schedule is Monday- Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required based on company needs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have U.S. High School Diploma or GED Diploma.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of Purchasing/Inventory Control experience.
- Must be able to speak and understand fluent English (Spanish a plus)
