Hello and welcome to our job add! A little debrief of the position is this: Our company is a Licensee of Budget Car Rental and has a community location at the Long Beach California Airport! We rent cars out to customers for their travels after flights and we also serve the local community's car rental needs.
The Airport Manager will be responsible for: helping manage the car rental counter, helping with vehicle rentals, up-selling optional services, vehicle preparation, and helping with asset protection. The role will also oversee training of new employees, handling of customer complaints, and assist with companywide projections related to transactions, revenue, and fleet operations while enforcing all company policies and procedures as well. We are posting this add because we are in need of an additional Airport Manager to help and replicate our already present Airport Managers and to cover hours in which they are not available, your position will have a clear set of expectations and you will be trained adequately to be prepared for the role.
The Airport Manager is integral to our operations and is a part of our top leadership for the company. The Airport Manager reports directly to our District Manager in California, our Business Manager for the company, and also works with Human Resources for any hiring needs the Airport Manager feels are needed.

- Annual Salary starting at $50,000. Initial salary is subject to increase is based on related experience.

What Will You Do?
- Provide the direct oversight of Shift Supervisors, Rental Agents, and Car Detailers.
- Oversee productive airport operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement processes to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
- Adequately keep up with your administrative/clerical duties such as keeping up with Emails, keeping up with your voicemailbox, inquiries from management, and displaying high levels of organizational skills.
- Ensure employees receive adequate training and necessary tools for success, properly offer and disclose counter products and optional services, and oversee the production of management reports.
- Manage daily operational plans, staffing levels, revenue strategies, and employee conflicts, enforcing company policies and procedures while working with HR.
- Work with HR regarding who to hire and then the subsequent training, evaluating, and development of the team within the company.
- Participate in long-term revenue strategy meetings, manages overtime and contracted help, track revenue growth, and complete coaching and feedback processes.
- Maintain operational functionality of equipment, supplies, and facilities, develops motivational programs, sets department goals, prepare bonus calculations, and provide monthly performance reports of employees.
- Conduct performance analyses to review tasks such as overtime, counter adjustments, line management, customer satisfaction scores, counter sales audits, fuel audits, and employee turnover.
Position Requirements:
- A minimum of five years of management experience. (Additional consideration is given to those with experience in the auto-rental industry, hotel-travel industry, or university degrees surrounding business management).
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
- A valid Driver's License and the ability to be covered under the Company's insurance policy.
