Job Summary
We are looking for a hard-working and committed Production Operator to join our client's team. Under minimal direction, independently operates production equipment in various areas of manufacturing.
Able to also fill in for other positions in the plant, as well as assuming a lead role if necessary.
Job Description
- Operate mixers and three roll mills.
- Operate gather / weigh equipment.
- Make operating adjustments as necessary.
- Trouble-shoot equipment.
- Operate press / out units.
- Package / label finished goods.
- Operate canning lines.
- Operate tub washer.
- Proficient in all areas of and the ability to operate SAP Inventory function and performs inventory cycle counts.
- Stock rotation and minimization of partial containers.
- Operate Lift Trucks.
- Read, understand, and follow batch tickets to achieve production schedule.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Participate on plant teams and serve as a trainer for employees and / or new hires
- Other duties as assigned by a supervisor, lead employee, or other member of
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean work area and work safely.
- Participates actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs, and training sessions.
- Follow all standard operating procedures with respect to performing the duties of this position.
- Stays updated on ISO procedures
Skills Required
- High School diploma / GED
- 1-3 years of experience in a production / manufacturing environment.
- Strong computer proficiency
- Must possess sound mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills. (Should be able to work with percentages.)
- Experience with and knowledge of safety.
Additional Requirements
- $18 per hour
