Our client is a fabricator and distributor of tubing and related metal products intended for industrial applications equipment located in Conroe, TX.

Job Summary

Client is seeking a Sales Estimator who will be responsible for leveraging their industry and product knowledge to generate sales quotes in support of the business development team.

You will prepare and submit quotations by analyzing Requests for Quote requirements, technical drawings and associated specifications, profit margin expectations, and other related information necessary to completing the quote.

Job Description

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Communicate with customers to identify and understand their needs; identify and suggest products to meet those needs.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management.
• Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or supplier relationship problems.
• Participate in the development of pricing strategies and negotiations with customers.
• Stay informed about industry developments and best practices.

Skills Required

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Metals experience would be nice to have, estimating experience is a plus
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Basic math skills required as you will be required to use multiplication and division on a daily basis.
• Basic understanding of measurements.
• Communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Computer literacy : working knowledge of MS products, to include Office, Excel, etc.

Education / Training / Certifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent strongly preferred; Certification a plus.

Additional Requirements

• Shift Hours : Monday Friday : 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM
• Company offers 401K
• Employee only paid healthcare.
• Bonuses vary based on performance.

Pay Rate / Salary

Up to 60K. Depending on Experience. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skill set and / or location.
