Shipping/Receiving Lead

Responsible for maintaining production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished product; coordinating freight pick-ups and deliveries.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain daily shipment schedule and have discussions with other warehouse team members to plan and prioritize daily work schedules to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to unload, load, or move product.

• Identify, label, and stage product in locations to ensure a high level of organization.
• Receives and processes orders.

• Manage the movement of material and parts between our two facilities.

• Conducts quality spot checks of finished goods.
• Participates in inventory cycle counts.

• Update computer records regarding shipping and receiving of packages and supply inventory.

• Responsible for verifying inventory, recording and/or making any necessary adjustments.
• Assist with packing, crating, and securing products in accordance with various shipping requirements.

• Shares in minor repair work and housekeeping responsibilities for the work area.
• Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.

• Works directly with a team giving guidance and direction.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have previous shipping/receiving experience.
• Ability to pass forklift certification and previous forklift experience required.

• Must be computer and technology literate.
• Competent in blueprint reading and interpretation is a plus.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and ability.
• High School Diploma or GED; not required but preferred.

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

• Must have excellent communication skills and work well in a team environment.
