POSITION SUMMARY
The Route Settlement Associate acts as a liaison between the Sales, Accounting and Operations departments during the early a.m. hours. This position helps troubleshoot any mobile equipment issues along with any route settlement related items. This position also works closely on projects with other segments of accounting including route settlement and accounts receivable. This position is a Monday through Friday work schedule, with occasional Saturday’s required to fulfill business needs.
Job Duties:
- Prepares and assists with third party courier service pick-ups
- Performs audits on daily route accounting paperwork for compliance with department standards
- Reconciles bank statements and monitors deposit activity for assigned locations
- Scans and transmits all Columbus electronic image deposits
- Sorts, scans, and digitally files select route settlement documents daily
- Orders route supplies up to and including paper, mobile equipment accessories, route settlement office supplies, bank deposit related items
- Manages mobile equipment repair process
- Partners with VIP, DTBT, Sales Managers, and Operations Managers to troubleshoot any settlement items related to their respective departments
- Runs the monthly closing job in coordination with Operations Departments predetermined times
- Troubleshoots all mobile equipment including Brother and IOS products
- Manages the support line during a.m. hours fielding calls for pricing adjustments, terms changes, mobile equipment support, ect.
- Records and generates worksheets and invoice transactions for employee product sales on a monthly basis for Columbus
- Updates all VIP route profile security codes daily

Requirements:
Education- Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business is preferred or work experience equivalent
Experience- 3-5 years of previous accounting or bookkeeping experience; experience working with VIP software, Office 365 software, Microsoft Excel; Word; Access
Computer Skills- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite; previous VIP experience preferred
Other Requirements- Knowledge of: beverage industry; general accounting practices and financial management; settlement process and procedures; Microsoft Office Suite; VIP. Skill in: internal customer service; 10-key entry. Ability to: work quickly, efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment with little supervision; be detail-oriented; meet deadlines in a pressured situation; multi-task; communicate effectively with other employees and develop good working relationships; adapt to change; operate a computer, copier, fax machine, handheld; problem solve; read and write.
