POSITION TITLE: Tire Repairperson
COMPANY: Grace Pacific, LLC.
DEPARTMENT: Equipment Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Equipment Manager
STATUS: Union
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
1 Inspects and performs routine maintenance of all rolling stock tires daily, including detection of other related mechanical problems
2 Dismounts, repairs and mounts tires and tubes
3 Determines which tires need to be recapped and which service to use.
4 Maintains records of repairs
5 Maintains inventory of tires
6 Checks vehicles prior to driving by completing required CDL check lists
7 Follows all safety and regulatory requirements and policies
8 Supervise and train repairperson helper(s) as required.
9 Learns duties of other Shop personnel and substitutes as required
10 Performs other duties as assigned
11 Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies
12 Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS
1. 1 year experience with off-road equipment and road vehicle tires
2. Knowledge of and ability to repair tubes and casings
3. Good written and verbal communication skills
4. Ability to work independently
5. CDL License, Type B required
6. Valid Hawaii driver's license and clean driver history record
7. Ability to complete physical exam to meet Dept. of Transportation driver requirements.
8. Required to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime.
9. Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs regularly.
10. Capable of multiple dexterity, climbing, crouching, and bending.
