Physical Therapy Aide / PT Aide

We are looking for someone who is considering or actively applying to Physical Therapy school and is willing tocommit to one full year of mentorship and working 7:15 am-3:45 pm, Monday to Friday. Please apply only if you are willing to commit to the one year and are available full time during those hours. We are targeting a start date of Monday, May 20, 2024 but are flexible to start earlier.

GSPORTS Physical Therapy is looking for a full time Physical Therapy Aide to provide excellent customer service and patient care. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in pursuing physical therapy as a career! We are a small physical therapy practice in SOMA specializing in the rehabilitation of sports orthopedic injuries. We are a 10-15 minute walk from Montgomery Street Station.

Responsibilities:
-Primarily assist the physical therapist under their direct and immediate supervision with patient care related tasks like therapeutic exercises and utilizing medical equipment for physical modalities, such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound procedures.
-Assist the office manager, schedule patients, answer multiple phone lines, collect co-payments, and other general office duties like filing, faxing, scanning, and copying
-Assist the clinic director with other miscellaneous duties to assist the business as necessary
-Keep clinic tidy, clean, organized, and presentable

Required Skills:

- Completed an undergraduate degree and a course in anatomy
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Detail oriented and organized
-Multitasking experience and ability to stay calm under pressure
-Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic
-Empathetic to patient's needs and concerns
-Positive attitude and works well as a team member
