Climbing Gym Front Desk Associate

We are currently accepting applications for part-time and full-time front desk staff. The front desk is the first and last impression customers will have of G1. Those working at the front desk have a high level of customer interactions and they are one of the primary points of contact for patrons, so front desk employees are often seen as the face of G1 to many of our members. We need front desk employees to believe in G1’s mission and want to share the sport of rock climbing with everyone who walks through our doors. Ideal candidates would have a minimum of three months of rock climbing experience, with an understanding of climbing technique and terminology. Candidates must have a working knowledge of rope systems, including belaying, rappelling, and leading.
Excellent people skills are also extremely important. Must be ages 18 .

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to all gym patrons in person, on the phone, or online
• Troubleshoot customer service issues as they arise
• Manage the front desk, which entails greeting customers, checking them in, helping new visitors with waivers, operating a cash register, etc.
• Give gym orientations and belay tests
• Instruct classes as needed
• Work group events and parties, including birthday parties as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of facility
• Additional responsibilities as needed as determined by Operations Manager
• Would directly report to Shift Lead & Front Desk Supervisor
