About G2’s Intern Program

G2’s Intern Program is back for its 4th  amazing summer!  You’ll work closely with leaders and peers throughout the 10 weeks- focusing on making a real impact on G2, with a final presentation about your work to our Senior Leadership Team.  We’ve packed the summer full of professional development and social events to lay the foundation for your career, and we’ll close it out with G2’s Mid-Year Meetup, a celebration of the first half of the year.

G2 Intern Program Details

  • 10 weeks: June 3rd - August 9th 
  • Hybrid: Tuesday through Thursday required in-person at our Downtown Chicago HQ
  • Pay:  $20/hour; 40 hours a week 

About The Role

This hands-on internship offers the unique opportunity to dive into the world of IT asset management and frontline support, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently:

  • Enhance Asset Accuracy: Take charge of our asset inventory system, conducting regular audits to align digital records with physical assets. Your meticulous attention will ensure our inventory is always up-to-date, supporting the entire organization's tech needs.
  • Streamline Asset Data Management: Showcase your technical skills by importing and exporting critical asset data, optimizing our inventory system's effectiveness. Your efforts will directly contribute to the seamless operation of our IT landscape.
  • Solve Tech Challenges: As the first point of contact for Tier 1 service desk requests, you'll troubleshoot and resolve a variety of technical issues. This is a fantastic opportunity to sharpen your problem-solving skills, provide exceptional support, and make a tangible impact on our team's success.

 As a member of the IT Service Desk team this summer, you’ll focus on:

  1. Working with an asset inventory system to ensure accuracy with assets physically onsite
  2. Importing and Exporting asset data into inventory system
  3. Answering Tier 1 service desk requests

Requirements

  • A rising Junior or rising Senior at an accredited college or university 
  • Attention to detail and concern for accuracy.
  • Excellent organization skills (email, task management, follow-up)
  • Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively and independently, delivering on assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
