Responsible for the organization’s Regional Distribution Center (RDC) Network within the United States including warehousing and transportation. - Performs overall resource and workload management for RDC network.
- Manages a high volume, multi-modal transportation and warehousing network.
- Manages all operational challenges or disruptions and escalates appropriately.
- Utilizes knowledge of transportation industry to optimize network efficiencies.
- Manages negotiations with suppliers and associated contracts and volume commitments.
- Manages systems and processes required to accurately pay suppliers.
- Manages equipment supply and efficiencies for sourced assets as well as company owned or leased assets.
- Maintains knowledge of all aspects of related carriers (rail and truck).
- Reviews activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives, and revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions. Tracks expenditures and variances and reports on them.
- Directs and coordinates formulations of financial programs to provide funding for new or continuing operations to maximize returns on investments and to increase productivity.
- Participates in department and interdepartmental planning and management teams and works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
- Develops and approves recommendations to change systems, policies and procedures; ensures timely and accurate implementation.
- Organizes and facilitates team meetings
- Responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations; responsible for subordinate employees’ understanding and compliance.
- Produces regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly or monthly basis; utilizes WMS, TMS or other systems effectively to produce and analyze reports.
- Manages internal and 3PL partners’ warehousing functions including the shipping/receiving and storage of finished goods, in addition to special projects and activities under the warehouse operations scope of responsibility.
- Makes recommendations to senior management on short-term capacity needs.
- Creates and gives presentations for various audiences of varying levels.
- Develops and participates in developing annual business plans that include budgets, financial objectives and business objectives including continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost and morale.
- Maintains records of performance and metrics. Creates and monitors goals, objectives and timelines and achievement of them.
- Represents G3 in internal and external operations meetings and ensures strong carrier and supplier relationships are maintained.
- Maintains consistent communication with all areas of G3 and all applicable areas of Gallo.
- Recommends, supports, justifies and leads the implementation of equipment or facility layout changes where applicable.
- Responsible for all associated costs related to operations of the network, including but not limited to storage, handling, rail deployments and truck deliveries.
- Balances daily management effort with long term plans in order to ensure continual business success.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Develops, coaches and mentors peers, indirect and subordinate staff.
- If accountable for the work of others, conducts performance evaluations; reviews and communicates salary adjustments; rewards employees or takes disciplinary action, as necessary; addresses complaints and resolves issues.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of operations, warehousing or transportation experience to include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility;OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of experience in operations, warehousing or transportation to include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Transportation Management Systems or Warehouse Management Systems experience.
- Required to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Strong competency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong communications and presentation skills, oral and written.
- Experience analyzing data and reports; using data to make decisions.
- Experience in planning and project management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 7 years of operations, warehousing or transportation experience to include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Transportation Management Systems and Warehouse Management Systems experience. OTM and Swisslog preferred.
- Experience using data visualization and reporting tools (such as Tableau, Microstrategy).
- Experience in Microsoft Access.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and operating within cross-functional teams as well as the ability to significantly integrate within corporate and partner organizations.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
- Experience working independently and making sound decisions under demanding time constraints.
- Detail oriented and skilled at recognizing and correcting discrepancies.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships.
