Gabb is looking for the next expert to join our team and step into the role of Director of Handheld Products. This person should drive the vision and passion for our handheld consumer products such as the Gabb Phone and Gabb Phone Plus and be an integral part of the team to lead, build, innovate, and elevate our product lines while making a significant impact in the market of safe tech for kids. - Identify customer segments and their impact to the product and business to develop and maintain handheld products that achieve product market fit
- Obsess over the customer experience and provide innovative solutions to exceed customers' expectations
- Identify and define strategic problems at the product line level and drive cross-product strategy
- Make data driven decisions to establish a product roadmap with target KPIs
- Lead a team of talented individuals in product, engineering and design
- Work closely with other department shareholders to define solutions that impact the company
- Manage existing products by working closely with manufacturers and internal teams to ensure product specifications, quality, production capacity and delivery meet the business goals
- Manage product testing, certification and product compliance-related tasks
- Daily communication with overseas vendors to provide direction and feedback to projects
- Establish and maintain partner and manufacturer relationships
- Understand product costs and effects on margin
- Monitor product/tech packs to make sure they are being kept current and information is accurate
- Manage the product development process and coordinate meetings and decisions as needed
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product introductions and on-going product support
- Responsible for sign off and sending product artwork and packaging to vendors for development
- Manage the product tech packs and Request For Quotes (RFQ's) to effectively and efficiently communicate new product designs to the management team.
- Inspect and approve all incoming samples and packaging for accuracy
- Partnering with Legal, Compliance, Creative, Marketing, Sales, Growth, Customer Service to support successful product launches
What You'll Need
- 10 years of consumer goods experience, experience with consumer electronics a plus
- Comfortable developing solid product strategies in an unstructured environment
- Must be able to communicate business and product stories in a concise compelling way to drive alignment and buy-in across the organization.
- Experience with international product management, preferred
- Strong working knowledge of the product development process
- Working knowledge of material development, sourcing, costing, and lead times
- Ability to multitask effectively and work on multiple products at once

Salary : $99,700 - $126,000
