JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
The Traffic Manager will control and manage all transportation requirements of all stores.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedules freight deliveries to all retail locations.
- Stays within budget restraints.
- Negotiates freight rates and services with vendors.
- Maintains company fleet of vehicles.
- Prepares required reports by collecting, summarizing, and analyzing information.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Logistics related field or similar experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Excellent communication skills.
- Has an understanding of the freight transportation industry.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Has an understanding of federal motor carrier rules and regulations.
- Ability to work overtime.
SUPERVISION
Reports to the Logistics Director. Direct report includes Traffic Office Clerk.
