Merchandise Lead/Department Head

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Head to join our team. As a Department Head, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of your department. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
- Supports the execution of merchandise presentation plans.

- Executes and completes weekly markdowns

- Must have open availability to include all store operating hours including hours outside of that.

- Develop and implement strategies to achieve department goals and targets
- Collaborate with other department heads to optimize store operations
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized department to provide an inviting shopping experience
- Utilize visual merchandising techniques to create attractive displays

Experience:
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a retail environment
- Strong knowledge of interior design principles and visual merchandising
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or other design software is preferred
- Familiarity with cash register operations and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
