Essential Functions (include but are not limited to): Inspecting and repairing plant equipment and components to ensure the plants high level of performance. Conducting preventive maintenance procedures on facility equipment to ensure the essential care, maintenance and operation of equipment. Reporting and recording any preventive maintenance that may require additional repair time (longer than 30 minutes). Providing estimated length of time for repair and parts needed. Working on pipe systems which would involve repairing, modifying and installing systems. Performing all phases of welding including MIG, TIG and Stick. Using cutting torch and braze with a torch. Performing millwright work such as aligning a pump and motor with a dial indicator. Installing bearings. Working in conjunction with Operations to ensure that all equipment has been tested and is working in a safe manner with satisfying results. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or GED is required. 1 year of experience using hand tools, power tools and shop equipment. 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment. Must take the Ramsey Test. WE VALUE AND WOULD LIKE TO SEE: Experience in manufacturing concepts and safety practices and procedures is preferred but not required A positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and a willingness to contribute to a continuous improvement environment PHYSICAL DEMANDS: To perform the essential functions of this role, you must be able to: Stand for long periods of time Climb ladders and stairs and use catwalks Bend at the knees and waist Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move 50 lbs. (or more with assistance) Regularly push and pull objects, push carts, and other equipment. Hear alarm bells and communicate on radio/walkie talkies Use color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and be able to adjust your depth of focus. Use hands and fingers to feel and handle objects, tools, controls panels, and products. Wear and use required safety equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toe safety shoes, hearing protection, head protection, and gloves.
