SUMMARY The Director of Warehouse Operations will direct all warehousing activities and staff across multiple warehousing facilities as well as assist in the start up of new Warehousing Operations in strategic locations across the US. The ideal candidate will possess significant operational and strategic experience and knowledge in managing and developing warehouse operations to include: labor planning, budgeting (operational and capital), key customer account management, forecasting, facility/site management, procurement, capital planning and safety for warehousing operations. The Director of Warehouse Operations is accountable for Best in Class operational excellence, management and the development of the strategic vision of warehouse operations for Standard Logistics. They are also accountable for setting and achieving a financial budget, safety compliance, and business unity quality metrics. The Director of Warehouse Operations will be a dynamic leader who will create a culture of teamwork, adding value through excellent service to all customers internal and external. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Collaborate with the executive team, legal counsel, risk management department, field leadership, and outside business partners to to direct the operational excellence of the Warehousing business unity Progressive use of analytics and data to help identify and understand potential business growth opportunities, using an agile, hands on approach in capturing these new revenue or cost savings opportunities. Implement a robust cost savings reports, reviews and cost mitigation process that maximizes operating income. Collaboratively review and drive continuous improvements in cost and service. Drive the safety culture with direct and indirect teams. Ensure required reporting (internal/OSHA) is completed and drive compliance. Manage an annual budget for both operations and capital expenditures. Open new sites as needed in collaboration with Standard Logistics customers Evaluate capital project development and execution at the Standard Logistics warehouse locations. Collaborative partnership with GAF Supply Chain team, external customer base and the Sr. Director, Fleet Operations, for tactical alignment to assure customer service requirements and performance targets are met. Evaluate team and operational performance, establish key performance indicators (KPI’s), publish/report on KPI’s and implement action plans to increase performance and productivity. Advanced knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and processes, such as FIFO, LIFO, WIP, physical counts, cycle counts and process controls is required. Perform any other duties assigned We Require Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university 7 years of Sr Leadership Management experience in Warehouse Operations, overseeing multiple sites We Prefer BA/BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics or Engineering Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and ability to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely Advanced Degree preferred APICS/ASCM/CWMP or other compatible certification Benefits We offer a wide range of health insurance options that include medical, dental and vision for you and your family.
