We are opening our first North American restaurant in Tysons Corner Fashion Center. We are anticipating this to be a high volume location with a good mix of dine-in and take-out guests. We're planning to open towards the end of October and currently looking for a few good porter/dishwashers.

Back of the House Porter / Dishwasher
Job Description
The true hero behind a lean and clean kitchen team is the Porter. The type of individual we’re looking for should be passionate about food safety & sanitation. This key back of house role makes sure the glassware, utensils, plates, and pots & pans are spick and span. They proactively ensure the floors are swept and clean, and the trash cans are frequently changed. Most importantly, they’re someone that takes pride in a clean kitchen.
This would be a great position for those looking for career growth and development! Once everything is clean, sanitized, and organized, there should be plenty of time to lend their fellow teammates a hand. This could include being trained on a new station or assisting the cooks on the line, learning a new recipe by giving the prep cooks a helping hand, or assisting the FOH staff clearing and resetting tables or running food. Ideally, the Porter would be someone who’s flexible, with an open mind and an attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new skills. The perfect candidate is an individual eager to grow in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Wash all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, glassware and cooking equipment in a timely manner
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and refrigeration
- Lead and perform weekly deep cleaning tasks
- Keep the dining room clean including occasional sweeping and mopping
- Carry plates, silverware and glasses to the dish room for cleaning and sanitizing
- Help train new Porters
- Operate and maintain the dish machine, including taking apart, cleaning, and reassembling
- Empty and clean trash and recycle bin in the kitchen
- Assist the BOH staff as needed, when time permits
Requirements
- Restaurant experience is a plus, not a necessity. Willing to train those with the right attitude
- Works well with others, has a “Team Player” mindset
- Has a positive attitude and open to feedback
- Values quality, consistency and cleanliness
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable and punctual
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
