What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Worker position at Gagne Foods?
Plant Maintenance is a hands-on job. They are responsible for the plant, equipment and services, and to ensure all planned maintenance is carried out as well as the coordination of unscheduled maintenance. Supports the efforts of the Facilities Engineer to ensure that the physical plant, equipment and systems are in place to improve production efficiency. Reports to the Facilities Engineer.
Essential Job Functions
- Be hands on and multi-disciplined experienced (mechanical, electrical, automation, utilities)
- Develops fabricates fine tunes and installs equipment
- Provide sound input to keep design of production systems for maximum efficiency and throughput
- Responsible for safety checks for all equipment
- Builds and maintains positive working relationships with co-workers and contractors using principles of good customer service
Specific Job Requirements
- Ensures calibration of measuring, test and inspection devices
- Keeps accurate spare parts inventory updated and clean
- Keeps accurate tooling and tooling inventory
- Equipment safety checks include lift gate safe ties, proximity switches and e-stops
- required to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues
- Other duties as requested
