Job Description
Gainsight is looking for an experienced Salesforce Administrator with a demonstrated history of working in the SaaS industry. The candidate should have worked on Salesforce.com as the primary administrator and should have strong knowledge of setup and configuration including, but not limited to custom objects, fields, formulas, workflow rules, process builder rules, page layouts, validation rules, and Salesforce best practices. The person should have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while working in both an individual and a team capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day administration of Salesforce.com
- Perform user management activities like assigning licenses, permissions, creating profiles/permission sets, etc. as needed
- Be the first point of contact for any Salesforce.com related queries and/or requests from internal users
- Implement technical solutions within Salesforce.com using custom objects, fields, formulas, workflow rules, process builder rules, page layouts, validation rules, duplicate matching rules, etc. to align with business processes
- Support integration of Salesforce with any third party applications, as needed
- Support configuration and enhancement of Salesforce CPQ
- Maintain security such as user accounts, sharing rules, permission sets, user roles and profiles, field-level security, content folder rights, public groups, list views, and other setup options
- Use dataloader application(s) to insert/update/delete records as needed
- Create and maintain reports, custom report types, reporting snapshots, and dashboards
- Create, update, and maintain documentation for the company’s Salesforce.com instance
- Identify opportunities to optimize configuration and automate manual processes and suggest enhancements
- Actively support the company’s transition from Salesforce Classic to Salesforce Lightning
Required Skills and Technologies:
- Salesforce Classic - Intermediate to Advanced. Salesforce Admin certification preferred
- Salesforce Lightning - Basic to Intermediate
- Dataloader applications like dataloader.io, workbench, etc. - Intermediate to Advanced
- Salesforce CPQ - Basic to Intermediate
- Microsoft Excel - Basic
- Google Sheets/Docs - Basic
Other requirements:
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Extremely detail oriented
- Passionate about solving problems by engaging with cross-functional teams to understand pain points and identifying systematic solutions
- Maintains a highly organized and accurate task list, visible to project management and other project resources engaged
- Track time, progress, goals, and deadlines
