Project Manager - this position requires regular job site travel in West Texas. (pre-paid accomodations, truck allowance & gas card in addition to base salary).
Gallagher Construction Services is seeking a candidate who is a motivated, self-starter to join our highly respected construction team at our Richardson office. Gallagher Construction provides construction management services for publicly funded projects. This position will have an emphasis on project management and project engineering procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- The assigned duties will vary depending on the project requirements but will generally be aligned with construction management functions
- Oversees, manages, and mentors the Project Engineer, when applicable
- Creates, Tracks and updates progress schedules
- Creates daily logs as directed
- Processes and tracks submittal packages
- Processes Contract Change Orders and maintain Change Order log.
- Effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with other project team members.
- Processes and tracks Requests for Information (RFI).
- Manages and updates project logs
- Coordination of vendors with field contractors
- Assists in facilitating the bidding process with contractors
- Processes and tracks Contractor Contracts
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledgeable of general construction procedures, process and tasks.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable dealing with a wide range of personality types.
- Attention to detail and ability to effectively track complicated tasks involving many parties to timely completion
- Proficient with computers to include the utilization of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Project and Outlook and Primavera/Expedition/Submittal Exchange a plus.
- Able to multi-task on a regular basis without becoming distracted or overwhelmed.
- Able to work efficiently on a self-directed basis with minimal supervision.
- Knowledgeable of general construction procedures, process and tasks.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable dealing with a wide range of personality types.
- BS degree in construction management or related course of study
