Summer news reporting internThe Shreveport Times in Shreveport, Louisiana, is seeking news reporters for its competitive summer internship program.The internship runs for 12 weeks at 40 hours per week. Each intern will gain experience in local news, breaking news and digital optimization.The internship program also includes weekly tutorials with award-winning journalists from around the USA TODAY Network’s South region and other opportunities to network.Applicants should be juniors, seniors or master’s candidates pursuing journalism degrees and passionate about beginning their careers in the field. Interns should have strong writing skills and be ready to report multiple stories per week.Ideal applicants will have prior internship experience or experience working at university news outlets.
