What are the responsibilities and job description for the Epoxy Technician position at Garagewerx?
Garagewerx is a leading specialty contractor with services tailored to the residential and commercial markets. For residential customers, our services focus on specialty garage remodeling including improving the homeowners flooring, walls and organization by finishing and coloring concrete floors with seamless epoxy systems, staining, and polished concrete. We offer refresh painting and trim carpentry as well as install overhead racks, slatwall and cabinetry. For commercial clients we install seamless specialized epoxy flooring, polishing and staining. Our services focus in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex.
You'll be working with a team on multiple floor installations, usually one per day. Most weekday installations are residential with some commercial and industrial installations on the weekends. Responsibilities:
- Work on a crew of 2 or 3 or more installers depending on the size of job.
- Work with the customer to make sure we install floors to their satisfaction.
- Make sure the floors and prepared properly for installation by diamond grinding and cleaning using best practices.
- Mixing the products properly for installation.
- Rollout the different resinous coatings based on the customer's selection and order.
- Broadcast media (flake or quartz) to specification.
- Work with team to maintain material and supply inventory.
What you'll need to be successful:

- Excellent installation skills in floor prep and coating installation.
- Real world examples of your work.
- Willingness to work with others as a team.
- Ability to work quickly under time constraints with quality and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a variety of locations throughout the Metroplex
- No allergies to concrete dust, epoxy, urethane, polyurethane, polyurea, polyaspartic, vinyl, or mica.
- 1 years of experience in the field a plus but not required.

- Clean background, must pass background check

- Valid drivers license
- Must be able to lift and move 75 lbs
- Reliable vehicle transportation to and from job sites
