Position Type and Expected Hours: This is a full-time position, scheduled Monday through Friday. Shift starts at 8 PM.
Work Environment: The physical environment requires a overnight Sanitation employee to work indoors in a climate-controlled facility. Processing Plant temperatures are controlled between 36- and 38- degrees Fahrenheit. Conditions may also include wet floors and equipment. Personal Protective Equipment are required in the processing plants. Employee must be aware of surroundings and be safety minded.
Physical Requirements: Standing; walking; bending; reaching overhead and out in front; lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs; hand dexterity in handling both small and large objects.
Position Summary: Ensures that food products can be processed in a clean, unadulterated and uncontaminated environment through the cleaning and sanitizing of the physical plant and all processing equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Strive to prevent accidents by following proper chemical and workplace safety practices.
- Keep areas clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
- Remove garbage and waste.
- Follow sanitation procedures for thorough cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, parts, floors, walls, doors, etc.
- Wipe down electronics or sensitive equipment.
- Ensure water is used sparingly.
- Ensure sanitation tools and equipment are maintained properly.
- Ensures plant is sanitized and free of all product residue and debris.
- Remove trash outside.
- Follow high risk area requirements.
- Complete assigned special projects in a timely manner.
- Performs cleaning and sanitation duties in assigned areas.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
SQF & HARPC Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high level of Food Safety and Product Quality through the cleaning and sanitation of food processing facility prior start up.
- Prevent cross contamination through proper cleaning and sanitation of processing areas.
- Complete and document all applicable SQF and safety training.

- All SN-SSP
Required PPE:
- Sanitation Gear
- Apron (if applicable)
- Hair net
- Beard net (if hair is present)
- Vinyl gloves
- High Care/Dedicated footwear – slip resistant, waterproof
- Safety glasses or face shield (if applicable)

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
