Job Description: The Environmental Services Manager directs the maintenance staff and assists with duties in maintaining a safe, clean and secure environment for the residents and staff in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Hires, trains, disciplines and supervises maintenance employee
- Schedules, supervises, and maintains logs on the maintenance operation, testing and preventative maintenance of equipment and systems in accordance with prevailing policies and regulations
- Supervises TMG maintenance personnel in the facility
- Corrects any fire hazards or needed repairs in the facility
- Conducts and reports on all fire and disaster drills.
- Identifies, reports to administration and schedules repair of any equipment malfunctions, or areas in poor repair
- Maintains and updates the facility’s Equipment Operation and Maintenance Manual
- Supervises waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy
- Maintains and updates MSDS sheet books
- Orders all supplies and equipment. Codes and approves vendor invoices per policy.
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Minimum 18 years of age
- No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment and misappropriation of property
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- expertise and experience required for the task
- Demonstrated ability in management, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards as they relate to maintenance (i.e., personal protective equipment, lock out/ tag out
- Possesses a working knowledge of the Life Safety Code and all other regulations and laws pertaining to the physical environment
- Knowledge of facility emergency procedures
