SUMMARY:
The Laborer performs daily tasks as directed by the Field Superintendent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Laborer’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist with material handling and logistics.
- Assist with SWPPP compliance.
- Assist with set up, maintenance of, and adjustments necessary for Temporary Services.
- Assist with daily items to maintain a clean, safe and effective worksite.
- Report safety violation regarding field operations.
- Perform minor trade tasks within knowledge and skill level.
- Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested by Garden Staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with framing, drywall, concrete and capital improvements is a plus.
- Previous work experience with multi-family building.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to use basic and miscellaneous hand tools (shovel, broom, cordless drill, etc.)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/ or move up to 100 pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, or otherwise move about the property, units, and rooftop, squat, open doors, climb/ descend stairs.
- Walk jobsite daily, frequent each unit/ roof/ garage/ parameter of building.
COMMUNICATIONS:
- Must be able to communicate effectively (orally and written) in a professional manner on a regular basis with management and co-workers within the company as well as residents and outside vendors. Works well as part of a team. Follows instructions and responds to management’s direction. Takes constructive criticism and uses it as a learning tool. Emphasizes EI in all interactions.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY:
- Is reliable and consistently at work and on time; willing to travel, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
TRAVEL
- Travel may be required within the Southern California and Arizona Region.
