Are you interested in the Beer, Wine, and Spirits industry? Do you have a passion for craft beverages and providing excellent customer service? If so, we want to meet you!

Garfield’s Beverage is a family-owned chain of retail stores offering a large selection of fine wine, craft beer, spirits, cigars, and more. We are currently looking to fill part time cashier position at our Barrington location. Daytime and evening shifts available. Weekend availability is a must.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Following proper age verification policies.
  • Operating cash register.
  • Helping to maintain cleanliness of store.
  • Being customer-focused and attentive to customer needs.
  • Developing knowledge of store products to better serve the customer.
  • Performing all duties as assigned by Store Management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age with valid drivers license.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as scheduled.
  • Ability to count cash and make change accurately.
  • Ability to operate business machines (POS, computer keyboards, etc.).
  • Have completed, or are willing to complete, an Illinois BASSET training course (Garfield's will cover necessary expenses for online training course.)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and managers.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Consistent and regular attendance.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
